ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I have had people ask me about how I started writing. It didn’t happen all at once. Authors are developed over time, gaining knowledge from life experiences, letting it mold them, sometimes breaking their hearts, other times healing their hearts, but always learning – always learning - from life’s lessons. On occasion, I have had to repeat a lesson or two. I believe these lessons from life come into play when a person sits down to write. We will write from anger or joy, peace or sorrow, hope or despair. It all depends on what we gained from our lessons!

When I was growing up in a small town in West Georgia, the love for words, and being able to put them in sentence form that would impact people’s lives, became a goal to me. I had an awesome High School teacher named Mrs. Jones who influenced me in this direction. Many times, from a young age, I would write notes or letters to communicate how I feel about something. I still do this. So, here I am, hoping that my words will influence you from some of the lessons I have learned.

I am a person of faith in God and His Word so I write from that perspective. I want people who are hurting, who are facing challenging circumstances, whatever form they take, to know that the Lord will help them, just as He did me. I seek to write with that purpose in mind. I have taught the Bible for over 40 years and I can say that the Scripture never grows old. It is fresh and rewarding any time I read it. When I am not writing, I enjoy gardening. I love for springtime to come so I can plant new flowers and we enjoy them to the fall season and then I plant fall flowers that will give us joy through the winter season. I love music, reading, studying the Scripture and being with my husband, Terry, and family and friends.

Life's journey often leads through twists and turns, hills and valleys. At each turn, with every challenge, choices must be made. These choices have the power to lead further in the wrong direction or guide one on the best path forward for their life.

This book details how the author's journey with her husband hit a rough spot, but just in time, the Lord rescued them and changed their course. He strengthened them to change their choices, moving them forward on the path He destined for them.
